Inflorescenses 2022
, Sparkling, 750ML
Inflorescences is Pierre-Gilles first foray into sparkling wine, and it’s quite an experiment — an orange-rosé with lots of texture and exotic fruits, followed by a hint of residual sugar. Excellent as a chilled aperitif on the first warmer days of the year or with fruit dessert.
Unfined and unfiltered winemaking at its core, Pierre-Gilles suggests keeping the bottle upright for a couple of days before drinking to let the sediment settle at the bottom of the bottle.
Region: Loire (Anjou)
Grapes: 80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Chenin Blanc
Alc : 12 %
About the winemaker: Pierre-Gilles Euzen is an exciting new producer in the Anjou, home to a band of now-cult winemakers making some of the Loire’s best Chenin Blanc. P.G.’s focus is on producing excellent barrel-aged Chenins from the area’s top vineyards (including a parcel in the famed Montbenault site above Rablay-sur-Layon), as well as lively, crushable red and sparkling wines.
